KARL by Karl Lagerfeld

The much anticipated collection Karl by Karl Lagerfeld is now available. The collection contains a variety of wardrobe staples up-styled with a twist. All pieces are truly formidable, created by King Karl  himself and now within reach. The low-priced line was launched with accessibility in mind, so now we can all have a touch of Karl. Here are some of my favourite pieces from the collection. It was tough choosing, but this would be my virtual compromise (wink wink). All is revealed at net-a-porter.com, see for yourself.

Some Sound Advice from Karl Lagerfeld

Stuff your brain with knowledge.

Work is not only a need to make a living is also a need to express yourself.

Luxury is the ease of a t-shirt in a very expensive dress.

Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life so you bought some sweatpants.

Buy what you don’t have yet, or what you really want, which can be mixed with what you already own. Buy only because something excites you, not just for the simple act of shopping.

Don’t wear what you question, wear what you think is right for you.

Never use the word “cheap”. Today everybody can look chic in inexpensive clothes (the rich buy them too). There is good clothing design on every level today. You can be the chicest thing in the world in a T-shirt and jeans — it’s up to you.

One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress.

Sunglasses are like eyeshadow. They make everything look younger and prettier.
